My Worst Poem

Hi
Thanks for the follow(s)
Happy blogging

Benyapoesy

I was asked a couple of times
to choose my favorite poem;
what a rude demand,
how gross
just to choose for judging.

What should it be;
the most confessionalist,
something about nature,
mankind or poetry itself
while I’ve been just writing?

I can’t even choose the worst;
the most ridiculous,
something about whining,
one with bad rhyming
or one that doesn’t fit me at all?

If you read all my works,
you should know…
but why would you anyway…
so, I inform you:
I’ve been just writing.

Now, I call it my worst poem,
looking for my best of all
because at some point
we are the best and the worst
while we didn’t exist at all.

Roses and Brimstone

Hatred is not a creative force.

Love alone creates.

Suffering will not prevail over us; it will only melt us down and strengthen us.

– St. Maximilian Kolbe

If you haven’t yet heard of St. Maximilian Kolbe, well now you will. St. Maximilian Kolbe, also known as Maximilian Maria Kolbe was born in Zdunska Wola, Poland on the 8th January 1894. He was a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar and was also known as the Apostle of Consecration to Mary. He set up institutions devoted to the Virgin Mary and even extended those institutions to Japan and India. He then returned to Poland, only for the war to break out soon after. However, the reason why I am impressed by him is not so much his dedication to the Church but rather to humanity. His ability to see the world with the lenses of warmth and to provide comfort to those…
